1) " Midnight Strikes Too Soon" - Thomas
Alva Edison
Being a former Jersey girl, I'd be
remiss if I didn't at least link to the inventor who helps put New Jersey on the
proverbial map. Are you seeing
the light yet?
2) "Paris In A Day" - Mona Lisa
Ellis has such a great line in
this song that I had to put a link in for the painting. It is a masterpiece, after
all.
3) "All My Heroes Were Junkies" - The Doors
For all the youngsters out there
who might not know who The Doors are, here's the exit
sign. And for those of you who do know who The Doors are, well it's never a bad idea
to know where all the exits are. *grin*
4) "All My Heroes Were Junkies" - Judy
Garland
There's no place like home.
5) "All My Heroes Were Junkies" - Bob Dylan
Bob Dylan is one of the greatest
songwriters in folk/rock. Love him or hate him, it's impossible to deny the influence he
has had on other musicians. And I'm not just saying that because I love Bob's music
either. *shameless grin*
6) "Never Lived At All" - Gershwin
The only thing I know about
Gershwin is that I had to study about him in music class during the eighth grade. I
do remember liking his music but lack any real knowledge of his music. Perhaps it's
time for a refresher course.
