This document assumes that Dial-Up Networking and Networking for TCP/IP are installed, and that a modem is configured for your computer. For assistance with configuring Dial-Up Networking and Networking for TCP/IP, call an Angstrom representative. For assistance configuring your modem, please consult the manual that came with your modem.
Getting the Connection Ready
To configure your computer to connect to Angstrom Internet, open the My Computer window by double-clicking the My Computer Icon on your desktop. You should see something similar to Figure 1.

Open the Control Panel folder by double-clicking it. A window similar to
Figure 2 will appear.

Double Click on the Network and Dialup Connections folder. Then
double-click
on the Make New Connection icon. A similar dialog box to Figure 3 will
appear.

Select Dial-up to the Internet and Click Next.

Select the option I want to set up my internet connection manually
... and click Next

Select the option "I connect through a phone line and
modem ". Click Next

Type in the phone number and area code, exactly as appears in the
image. Click "Next".

Type in your username and password. Click "Next".

Type in the connection name: "Angstrom Internet". Click "Next"

Select "Yes" to set up your Angstrom email account and Click "Next".

Select the radio button "Create a new Internet mail account" and Click
"Next".

Type in your name for your email. This will appear on emails that come
from you. Click "Next".

Type in your email address, which is going to be your username, and
append @angstrom.net to your username. Click "Next".

Your incoming mail server should be set to "POP3". Type in
"pop.angstrom.net", without the quotes, for incoming mail server. Type in
"mail.angstrom.net", without the quotes, for outgoing mail server. Click
"Next".

Enter your Angstrom username and password. Click "Next".
